Administration

Manage team, access rights, and billing centrally for Owners and Admins of the organization.

What Administration includes

The Administration area brings together all organization-wide settings in one place. It is available only to members with the Owner or Admin role.

You open it through Settings -> Administration in the navigation bar.

The page shows four areas:

AreaContent
Members and InvitationsManage members, change roles, invite new people
Restrict Data AccessRestrict access to data sources, dashboard groups, and dashboards
Usage LimitsCurrent plan, usage, and subscription management
InvoicesDownload previous invoices

Members and Invitations

Here you see all active members with name, email, role, and last activity, as well as all open invitations.

Add invitation - Enter an email address, choose a starting role, and click Send invitation. The invited person receives an email with an activation link.

Change role - Click the current role in a member row and choose the new role from the dropdown. The change takes effect immediately.

Remove member - Click Remove and confirm the action. The member immediately loses access to the organization. Existing content stays in place.

Revoke invitation - Open the pending invitation and choose Revoke. The activation link is deactivated immediately.

Roles and access rights

Zweigen has four roles with fixed default permissions:

RoleDefault permissions
OwnerFull access to all areas, including billing and organization settings
AdminSame as Owner, except billing and transferring ownership
EditorCan connect data sources, create dashboards, and edit metrics
ViewerCan view dashboards, but cannot create or edit content

Restrict Data Access

By default, all access is allowed. Through Create access restriction, you can restrict access to individual resources.

Three resource types are available:

  • Data source - Restricted data sources remain visible, but are disabled and show a note about missing rights.
  • Dashboard group - Restricted groups are hidden from affected people.
  • Dashboard - Restricted dashboards are hidden from affected people.

For each restriction, define which roles or people it applies to. Optionally, you can enable inheritance so the restriction also affects related resources.

Usage Limits

Under Usage Limits, you see your current plan, usage by values such as storage, query compute, and egress, as well as the next billing date.

Through Manage, you open subscription management and can switch plans or complete a subscription.
