Frequently asked questions

How do I create a graph from my data?

Enter your categories or dates in the first column and the corresponding numeric values in the data series next to them. You can add more rows and up to four series or rename the sample series.

Then choose the chart type and adjust the title, legend, axes and labels. Set the required PNG size in the final step, check the preview and download the finished graph.

Which chart type is suitable for my data?

Bar charts are well suited to comparing categories, while line charts make developments over time easy to follow. Pie and doughnut charts work best for a small number of shares that make up a whole.

Polar-area and radar charts help compare profiles across several characteristics. If a chart becomes difficult to read, reduce the number of categories or switch to a bar or line chart.

Does Zweigen upload or store my data?

No. Labels and values are processed locally in your current browser tab. They are not sent to a Zweigen API, written to browser storage or added to analytics events.

Reloading or closing the page discards your entries. The downloaded PNG is created directly in your browser.

Which PNG sizes and formats are supported?

Presets are available for square posts, stories, landscape formats and HD presentations. You can also enter your own width and height between 320 and 4096 pixels.

Standard aspect ratios keep both dimensions coupled. Custom ratio components are limited to values from 1 to 4 so every offered preview remains usable.

What does the export scale change?

The export scale multiplies the selected pixel dimensions from 1× to 4×. For example, 320 × 320 pixels at 3× produces a 960 × 960-pixel PNG, provided it fits the browser-safe output budget.

This is deliberately not called DPI: DPI only becomes meaningful together with a physical print size in centimetres or inches. The effective pixel dimensions shown above the preview are what determine the actual image resolution.

Can I import Excel or CSV files?

The converter currently supports direct input only. An upload would need its own secure import process for file validation, resource limits and privacy, so it is deliberately not part of this tool.

For smaller data sets, copy the relevant categories and values into the table. Additional rows and data series can be added directly below it.

Can I use the downloaded graph commercially?

You can use your exported graph in reports, presentations, websites and publications. The small “Created with zweigen.cloud” attribution remains part of the generated image.

Make sure that you hold the necessary rights to the data and labels you enter, especially when publishing third-party or personal data.
