Data structure in Zweigen explained simply
Zweigen adapts to your data structure. Storing data works smoothly in your format.
To visualize data in Zweigen dashboards, custom data needs a one-time visual mapping into the Zweigen dimensions and metrics schema.
This makes two things possible:
- Compatibility with all kinds of data regardless of the original schema
- Intuitive setup and use even without a technical background
Integrations vs. custom data
Integrations
When data sources are connected through OAuth direct integrations, no mapping to the Zweigen schema is required.
The data is prepared directly and is available right away for creating dashboards.
Custom data
The visual editor automatically detects time columns in common formats and provides guidance for the one-time mapping into the Zweigen schema.
Alternatively, data can also be connected or uploaded directly in the Zweigen schema so that no mapping is required.
At least parts of the data must be mapped correctly so they can be visualized. It is also possible to map only part of a dataset while the rest still remains stored.
Scope and granularity
When connecting data sources, you define in the data-sources area whether the dataset should be stored completely or only partially.
Granularity is selected in the same step.
These settings can be changed later.
Data quality
Raw Data View includes a dedicated "Quality" panel.
The panel does not calculate a generic score. Instead, it shows concrete evidence for the current query, the selected source, and for custom data also the current mapping integrity.
Typical signals are:
- whether the requested query is ready or still materializing
- whether the current result is verified or not currently verifiable
- whether the selected source is fully ready for serving
- whether a custom-data mapping is drifting and should be reviewed
Three simple steps to get started
Step 1: Connect data automatically or upload it manually
Connect your data through OAuth direct integrations, a custom API, or upload it manually via CSV/XLSX in the Raw Data View.
Step 2: Store and map data
Zweigen cleans and stores your data securely according to European standards. For API and CSV/XLSX imports, the data is mapped once to the Zweigen schema through a guided visual flow, after which it is available in dashboards and in Raw Data View.
Step 3: Create dashboards
Create professional dashboards with just a few clicks using dashboard templates. Or set up the full dashboard grid according to your own preferences.
All Data. One system.
