Open widget settings
You open widget settings in edit mode by clicking the widget and choosing Edit. A side settings panel opens.

Widget type
Defines how data is shown: line chart, bar chart, KPI widget, table, and so on. You can change the type later without selecting the data source again.
Title
The displayed name of the widget in the dashboard. If you do not enter a title, no title is shown.
Data source, metrics, and dimension
Under Data source, you choose which imported data source the widget should use. Then you choose metrics and dimension. More details are explained in Data Binding.
Time range
You can define an individual time range for each widget, independent from the dashboard time filter. As long as no individual range is set, the widget uses the dashboard filter.
Granularity
Granularity defines how finely time-series data is aggregated: daily, weekly, or monthly. You can set it per widget. If no individual value is set, the dashboard granularity applies.
Top N limit, sorting, and other group
In category views, for example a bar chart by channel, you can limit how many categories are shown. The categories not shown can optionally be grouped as Other.

Presentation options
Presentation options control how the widget is built visually. Which options are available depends on the widget type.

| Data labels | Show values directly at the data point or bar |
| Grid lines | Horizontal helper lines in the chart background |
| Orientation | For bar charts: bars horizontal or columns vertical |
| KPI mode | Display format of the KPI widget, for example with or without comparison value |
Save changes
Changes in widget settings are saved automatically when you switch back to read mode. To do that, click View in the toolbar. Alternatively, you can click Save manually at any time.
