What the template shows
The Google Analytics template is the default starting point for a Google Analytics 4 dashboard in Zweigen. It maps the most important GA4 metrics in a structured way — from a compact overview to channel and page-level details.
Structure and metrics
The template follows a clear analysis logic: first status, then trend, then drivers, and finally context.
KPI layer – overview
Compact summary of the most important metrics at a glance:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Users | Number of unique users in the selected period |
| Sessions | Number of sessions |
| Page views | Total pages viewed |
| Key events | Conversions and configured events |
| Engagement rate | Share of engaged sessions (at least 10 s active, key event, or multiple pages) |
Trend area
Time-based development of core metrics as a line chart. Shows whether changes are short-term or structural and where trend breaks occur.
Driver area
Which channels, entry pages, and content drive the development:
| Dimension | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Channel | Where do users come from? (Organic, Direct, Paid, Social, etc.) |
| Landing page | Which page starts most sessions? |
| Content pages | Which pages are viewed most often? |
Context area
Distributions for tactical optimization:
- Device category – desktop, mobile, and tablet compared
- Day of week – which days see the most traffic?
