Import First Data

Import first data into Zweigen via integrations, custom APIs, or file upload.

Choose the right starting point

Start with a data source that matches your most important use case. Typical first sources are Google Analytics, a CRM export, or an accounting CSV. Start with one source, not several at the same time.

You can open Raw Data View through Settings -> Raw Data View in the navigation bar.

Set up a direct OAuth connection

For available integrations such as Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, or Google Search Console:

  1. Open Raw Data View and choose Integrations.
  2. Find the integration you want and click Connect.
  3. Authorize the connection in the provider's OAuth dialog.
  4. After successful authentication, choose the account or property you want.

Zweigen assigns the fields automatically. No manual mapping is required.

Upload a CSV or XLSX file

  1. Open Raw Data View and choose Upload.
  2. Upload your CSV or XLSX file.
  3. Review the detected columns in the upload dialog.
  4. Assign columns to Zweigen fields: date, metrics (numeric values), and dimensions (categories).
  5. Confirm the import.

The saved mapping is reused automatically for future imports.

Connect a custom API

For your own systems without a standard integration, open Custom API in Raw Data View. Setup requires technical knowledge of the source system's API schema.

Check plausibility of the data

After import, verify that the data arrived correctly:

  • Do totals match the source file?
  • Are time range and time filter correct?
  • Are the key fields present and readable?

Create the first dashboard widget

If the data looks plausible, bind it to a dashboard widget:

  1. Open a dashboard or create a new one.
  2. Switch into edit mode.
  3. Click + Widget.
  4. Choose a display type, for example line chart or KPI widget.
  5. Choose your imported data source and the fields you want.
  6. Save the widget.
