Data Management

Data Management is the central workspace for integrations, uploads, custom API sources, and the operational maintenance of your data sources.

What you do in Data Management

Data Management is your central workspace for everything that happens before dashboards and analysis:

  • connect or disconnect integrations
  • upload CSV/XLSX files
  • prepare custom API data sources
  • maintain mapping for your own data
  • review imports, exports, and data-source-specific errors

Managing new connections happens under Data Sources. The Raw Data View is separate from that and is meant for reading already imported data.

The four areas

Integrations

Here you connect native providers such as Google Analytics 4 or Google Search Console. After the connection, Zweigen selects the available resources and binds them to data sources.

Data source overview

Here you can see all existing data sources. From there you can start mapping, export, settings, or further setup of a CSV/XLSX source.

CSV/XLSX Upload

Use this area for file imports. You upload the file, check the preview, and adjust mapping if necessary. As soon as all open entries are ready for import, Zweigen schedules the import automatically.

Custom API

Use this area for server-side JSON imports. You create an API data source, save the mapping, and then use Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY> plus Idempotency-Key for every import.

Important rules

  • One data source always has exactly one clear origin: file upload or custom API.
  • Without a saved mapping, a custom data source is not ingest-ready.
  • Successful uploads and API requests first mean that Zweigen accepted the import safely and scheduled it for processing.

Typical mistakes

  • The wrong data source is used for an API or upload import.
  • Mapping was changed but not saved again.
  • The API key does not have the required permission or the Idempotency-Key is missing.

Recommendation for daily work

  • Create one separate data source per business dataset.
  • Use consistent names for metrics and dimensions.
  • Separate upload sources and API sources deliberately instead of mixing different paths into the same source later.

All Data. One system.
