Open settings
Click Settings in the top-right corner of the navigation bar. A modal opens with your personal account settings. These settings apply only to your account — other team members see their own settings.
Organization-wide settings such as members, invoices, or access rules are in Administration, not here.
Account
In Account, you manage your personal identity in Zweigen:
- Name – the name shown in notes, mentions, and activity logs
- Language – switches the entire app interface to English or German; the change takes effect immediately for your session
- Time zone – determines how timestamps and date values are displayed in dashboards for you
- Week start – Monday or Sunday, affects calendar-based time filters such as "This week"
General
General contains personal display options for your use of the app. Changes here do not apply organization-wide.
Notifications
In Notifications, you control when and how you are informed. For each event, you can choose between In-app (a hint in the interface) and Email, or both.
Typical events:

| Mentions | Someone mentioned you in a note |
| Role assignment | Your role in an organization was changed |
| Security notices | A new login or device was detected |
Configure notifications explicitly so important alerts do not get lost.
Organizations
Under Organizations, you see all organizations you belong to, along with your role in each. Use this area to confirm you are working in the right context, or to switch between organizations.
Security
In Security, you protect your access:
- Change password – opens a form for setting a new password; your current password is required for confirmation
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) – set up via authenticator app; once active, a second factor is required at every login
Known devices
Under Known Devices, you see all devices and browsers where you are currently logged in or were recently active. Remove any device you do not recognize or no longer use — this ends the session on that device immediately.
Privacy
Privacy groups settings with privacy relevance for your personal account.
