Google Search Console

Practical guide for the Google Search Console integration in Zweigen with setup, analysis context, search appearance, and SSOT metrics and dimensions.

What the Google Search Console integration delivers

The Google Search Console integration brings organic SEO performance directly into Zweigen. You analyze clicks, impressions, CTR, and position without manual exports.

Per widget, you can define an analysis context, for example Web, Discover, or Google News, as well as data state, aggregation, and structured filters.

Prerequisites

  • You have access to the relevant Search Console property.
  • You authorize with the account that has the required OAuth permissions.

Set up the connection

  1. Open Data Sources -> Integrations and choose Google Search Console.
  2. Connect your Google account through OAuth.
  3. Choose the correct property for your organization.
  4. Start with a focused time range such as last_30_days.

These metrics, dimensions, and analysis contexts are currently available in the Google Search Console integration in Zweigen

Analysis context explained clearly

Use the analysis context to evaluate the same metric deliberately in different search situations.

AreaWhat you use it forRecommended start
Search typeSeparates Web, Images, Video, News, Discover, and Google NewsStart almost always with web and expand only afterward
Data stateControls whether you use only final data or also fresh intermediate dataUse final for clean comparisons
AggregationDefines on which level GSC combines resultsStart with auto or byProperty before segmenting further
FiltersRestricts the analysis to query, page, country, or deviceSet only one filter at first so cause and effect stay readable
Search AppearanceShows special display types such as rich results only when available in the current contextUse it only after search type and filters are already defined

Additional analysis context per widget:

  • Search type: web, image, video, news, discover, googleNews
  • Data state: final, all, hourly_all
  • Aggregation: auto, byPage, byProperty, byNewsShowcasePanel
  • Filters: structured filters on query, page, country, device
  • Search Appearance: dynamically available values for the current search type and filter context

You can find this selection in widget creation under OPTIONAL in the field Choose analysis context.

Start with only a few core values and open more context options afterward.
